London is one of the most iconic places to visit in Europe. It is a place that is almost on everyone’s bucket list because of its rich culture and tradition. There are places that should be visited for the simple reason that a trip to London is not complete without it.
Here are three examples:
1. Go To Buckingham Palace
You may not see Her Majesty, the Queen herself, but seeing Buckingham Palace is in itself a treat. There are tours for visitors and guests and you can wait for the changing of the guards. If you are not pressed for time, throw in a visit to Westminster Abbey and Big Ben for a complete photo op.
2. Eat Fish and Chips
There is nothing as British as fish and chips. It is the equivalent of the American burger and fries and equally as satisfying. The lowly fish and chips can be bought at street stalls, pubs, and restaurants. It is best paired with a pint of Guinness or Stout. You can also try kidney pie and shepherd’s pie if you want more samples of British classics. For the truly brave, there is Haggis or blood sausage.
3. Ride a Double Decker Bus
Buses in London are called lorries, and the double decker ones are particularly interesting and exciting. Get to see the city from atop an open-air bus and enjoy all the sights and sounds of London. If you are feeling up to it, you can also visit the London Eye and see London’s views and skyline like you have never imagined.
Contrary to popular belief, a trip to London is not one that drains your life savings, says LHA London. You can book a cheap accommodation and get discounted flights as well by booking your trip well in advance. You can purchase a package that will include transfers, tours, breakfasts and entrance fees to museums and other establishments.
